Cut Creamist cultivation

Cut Creamist cultivation

Cut Creamist – cultivation without photoperiod control

Planting: mid-June to July 10, in case of early planting, pinch after 7 days

Spacing: 48 pcs/m²

Growth regulation: first application when plant reaches about 50 cm height, second application when bud appears

Routine maintenance: watering, fertilization, protection against diseases and pests, removal of side shoots

Additional information: drought stress can cause uneven growth.
Avoid excessive fertilizer concentration in substrate (salinity leads to root system death and plant wilting). Protection required against thrips and leafminers which cause damage to growth cones.

Controlled cultivation of large-flowered cut varieties

Controlled cultivation of large-flowered cut varieties

Large-flowered cut varieties – controlled cultivation

Planting : end of June – July

Number of seedlings : 1 seedling = 1 flower

Spacing : from 48 pcs/m² for very large flowers e.g. Magnum to 64 pcs/m² for smaller flowers e.g. Marama Sunny

Growth regulation : first application when plant reaches about 50 cm height, second application when bud appears

Photoperiod control : according to dates specified in catalog for each variety but no later than September 10

Routine maintenance : watering, fertilization, protection against diseases and pests, removal of side shoots

Controlled cultivation of medium-flowered potted varieties

Medium-flowered potted varieties – controlled cultivation

Planting: early July to mid-August

Number of seedlings: 5-9 seedlings

Pot size: from Ø17 to Ø21

Pinching: once, 5-10 days after planting

Growth regulation: concentration 0.3% – 0.5%, first application when side shoots reach about 1 cm (after about 10 days), subsequent applications every 10-14 days until September 20 on non-colored bud

Cleaning: around September 10, number of buds left – according to customer preference

Photoperiod control: for November 1 – according to dates specified in catalog for each variety

Below is an example control schedule for May 26 (week 21)

  • example variety Milwaukee – response time 8 weeks

Start of control: 8 weeks + 1 counted backwards

Control starts in week 12.

Planned flowering is week 21.

Cultivation of small-flowered potted varieties

Cultivation of small-flowered potted varieties

Planting: early May – mid-June
